FAWCO News

FAWCO  has a new (March 2016) Mission Statement:

“FAWCO is an international federation of independent organizations whose mission is to build strong support networks for its American and international membership; to improve the lives of women and girls worldwide; to advocate for the rights of U.S. citizens overseas; and to mobilize the skills of its membership in support of global initiatives for education, the environment, health and human rights.”

Vote! Primaries Matter, Too!
We are well into primary season and it is already clear that here,
again, every vote counts!

Have you registered and requested your ballot? Remember that we are now required to do that every year and, in many cases, for every election in the year. Requesting your ballot is easy from Overseas Vote or the Federal Voting Assistance Program and remember to check the box requesting a ballot for every election in the year. If you voted in the one day democrat primary this has not registered you to vote in the general election. You still need to request your ballot from your State.

All members of the AWCCS are members of FAWCO and can access the FAWCO website for info concerning FAWCO and info useful to Americans abroad, such as info about taxation, voting and current legislation. We also have available to us the opportunity each year to apply for certain scholarships, many of which are available to both adult members and children of members of the AWCCS. Look for application info on the website. Here are the recipients of this years grants and scholarships:
